The Kohler engine started first pull but on hot days it will kick back sometimes and rip the cord out of your hand, electric start option would be nice.
They want you to torque the blade tensioner to 25 to 30 ft-lbs, on larger spruce logs with many knots you'll want the blade tighter to keep the blade going straight.
The galvanized track is great but some of the painted surfaces must not have been cleaned good, some of the paint is pealing off right out of the crate. (Pictured is the blade guard)
These things do vibrate a bit so keep a close eye on all nuts and bolts the first few hours.
Overall I would definitely recommend this mill, I've put on a few 29 inch logs and it handled it just fine.
