It was an early start for a wet, grey Sunday, but Queen Elizabeth Park was already full of bright energy when we arrived. By 9:00 AM, our team gathered for the annual BC Children’s Hospital Foundation RBC Race for the Kids. TMG Industrial returned again this year to an event that has become a proud team tradition. The morning drizzle didn't dampen anyone's spirits; seeing the crowd show up ready to go rain or shine only added to the shared excitement. When the horn blew, we took off onto West 27th Avenue, pushing through a 5K route down Heather and Cambie Street before crossing the finish line together near Riley Park.
Showing Up Together
Taking on the course brought out a fantastic sense of camaraderie, reminding us how rewarding it is to connect away from our usual day-to-day work environment. Behind the scenes, making it all happen comes down to teamwork and a shared joy for showing up.
💬 "The BCCHF Run is a reminder that sometimes the greatest gift we can give is our TIME. As part of TMG's HR team, I had to allocate time for the event, time to organize the logistics, to raise funds, and to run. If dedicating my time means making even a small difference in a child's life, I'll give every moment I can.
I'm incredibly proud that TMG continues to invest both its time and resources into causes that truly matter. Two years in, and this experience only gets more meaningful! Excited for next year." — Maggie
For Steven, the real push on the course came from looking at the determination of the people running right alongside him.
💬 "We're out here to raise awareness and support the community. Honestly, my biggest motivation was seeing 12-year-old kids running harder than I can." — Steven

The morning was also a special milestone for Kevin, who walked and ran the course with his wife and two young kids for the very first time. For him, being out there was all about showing his support for kids who need specialized care. He reminded us how vital it is to rally behind BC Children’s, as it is the only hospital in the province entirely dedicated to pediatric care.
That sense of family and shared purpose was felt by everyone who joined the group this year.
💬 "As a first-time participant in Race for the Kids, I was inspired by the way our employees, family members, and friends came together to support BC Children’s Hospital Foundation. Even with the rain, our team showed up with great energy and a shared commitment to giving back. It was wonderful to connect with one another, meet families, and be part of something that makes a real difference.
After the run, we gathered to share food, laughter, and celebrate what we accomplished together. Thank you to our management team for supporting this initiative and to everyone who participated, donated, and helped make it a success. We are also grateful for the company’s donation match, which helped increase our impact.
As David shared, “Moments like these remind us of the dedication, resilience, and team spirit that will make TMG exceptional.”" — Zyra

A Shared Mission for Brighter Futures
With the incredible generosity of our team, families, and friends combined with the company's donation match, we raised a total of $4,602 for the foundation.
Actually showing up, putting in the effort in the rain together, and contributing directly to the healthcare network that champions children across the province is what truly matters. The sore muscles will fade in a few days, but the pride of supporting BC Children's Hospital is going to stick with us for a very long time.
